Ginger matcha latte recipe - Pure Feast

GINGER SPICED MATCHA LATTE

This dairy-free ginger spiced matcha latte is energizing and warming, making it the perfect drink to either start your day or get you through an afternoon slump. What makes it even better is the fact that this recipe is so simple and quick, making it easy to treat yourself with a healthy and delicious drink. The ginger and cinnamon spices will warm you, the matcha will energize you, and the fats from the coconut butter and seeds or nuts will fill you while also providing more energy to the mix!

 

INGREDIENTS

serves 2
2 teaspoons matcha powder
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger powder)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons coconut butter (also known as coconut manna)
2 tablespoons hemp seeds*
1 teaspoon honey (or more to your liking) to sweeten
2 1/2 cups hot water

 

*I use a Vitamix blender that really blends those hemp seeds up well to make a creamy non-dairy drink, but a regular blender should work well too. If however you don't think your blender will make the hemp seeds in the drink smooth enough for you, try substituting the hemp seeds for a tablespoon of any kind of creamy nut or seed butter, like almond or sunflower.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all of the ingredients in a blender, blend it all up, and enjoy with an extra sprinkling of cinnamon on top.
